  <title>TORCS version 1.3.3 released</title>
  <link>http://torcs.sourceforge.net/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=79</link>
<description>TORCS version 1.3.3 is available for download.
The most important changes are new content (two tracks, new car), a pure command line mode (for AI training and testing) and bug/security fixes,
hit Read More below to review the full set of changes.

The security fixes are relevant if you download and install content from the internet, otherwise they are not urgent. Nonetheless, I recommend
everybody to update anyway.

I would like to thank all the people which contributed to this release, these are Andrew, Gabor, Milestone, Andres, Eckhard and David.
Thank you all very much.

If you are interested in the list with the available packages or the changelog
hit the Read More link below. In case you run into trouble have a look into the FAQ, there is as well
a section about how you should report a problem. If you like TORCS and think you can write a better AI meet us here.

Enjoy, Bernhard

Update:
If you have a linking problem with your Linux distro, this patch might help you.</description>

  <title>TORCS Endurance World Championship 2012</title>
  <link>http://torcs.sourceforge.net/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=78</link>
<description>The TORCS Endurance World Championship 2012 is set up and ready for
signing in. We use TORCS 1.3.2 to start the season, have a look at
the README for a list of changes. The most important changes regarding the
championship are:

reduced drag advantage for the leading car when slipstreaming
ground effect drops quickly when air flow is not parallel to driving direction
new car available (car8-trb1)
some Gf* API functions operate now with const char* instead of char*

I set up a test championship to make the competitors familiar with the process
and to give the opportunity to iron out problems and getting used to the people
before the real championship starts.

Here you can join the real championship.

I hope to meet you on the track and that you enjoy the 2012 season. Have fun,

<description>Luigi Cardamone, Daniele Loiacono and Pier Luca Lanzi put an interactive track generator for TORCS on the web. You can find instructions how to use it here (I had to watch the video first to grasp it, but it is very easy).

  <link>http://torcs.sourceforge.net/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=74</link>
<description>The TORCS 1.3.2-test1 source package is available on sf.net. I will set up the 2010 racing season during the next two weeks. If you discover any trouble with this version please let me know. For TRB relevant changes are:

new car8-trb1 (I will allow it for 2010)
adjusted some parameters on existing cars
slipstreaming effect is reduced

I hope to see you on the track soon. Regarding 1.3.2, the test1 release is mainly to start with the TRB season, there are some little things missing for the final 1.3.2 (see the README in the package for details).
